My name is Faustine Jond Iyer and three core inclinations have shaped my practice:
- a deep respect for every individual,
- a wholehearted love for India,
- and a strong aversion to waste.Drawn to intercultural environments, I have learned to see the world through different frames of reference, to question with care, adapt my language, and truly meet the people I work with. Whether they are prospects, clients, candidates, or partners, I take the time to build a genuine connection. I am particularly attentive to the quality of the relationships I form: I connect with people so that, in turn, they can connect meaningfully with others. For over 20 years, India has been part of my life — a country of many facets and a rich source of personal learning. I honoured this connection by naming my company Tchabi, the phonetic spelling of चाबी, which means “key” in Hindi. I have also chosen to highlight the work of an Indian artist through the illustrations on this website. My time in India continues to inspire my annual reflections, and certain practices have deeply shaped my approach. One of them is frugal innovation (Jugaad): the ability to overcome constraints sustainably, using the resources at hand. This philosophy lies at the heart of how I see my work.Whatever its form, I have little tolerance for waste. The resources we have are valuable, and using them wisely is a responsibility. This principle guides my practice: the resources mobilised to address a challenge must be allocated with care and precision. I value work that is done properly: robust, thoughtful, and sound, whatever the context.
